I make bracelets and keychains and things out of gimp. it's this plastic string stuff that's also called lanyard or boondoggle.

wow someone here actually knows what gimp bracelets are! That's amazing I remember having a conversation with a friend weeks ago and I asked if he ever used gimp material before and he didn't understand. We used to make things out of gimp back in summer camp years and years ago. I forgot how to thread things together but I think if I saw it again I'd pick it up instantly. Since it's a time consuming thing, the kids would be occupied with it and before you know it a few hours has passed where otherwise you'd have to find something else to do. So I'm impressed someone understand it. I would have responded sooner but seems I missed this board entirely threw my diligent search of finding new things to read on here.

hmm, it seems like, after cmap this year, i picked up a lot of gimp styles. i learned how to do gimp with three, four, six, eight, even ten, though, thats going really far, you would get dizzy just trying. there was this girl at camp, who tried ten colors. i think she had a headache for days. lmao. but the thing is, after i make the gimp, dont knw how to make it in to a bracelet. there's this gimp thing called the butterfly stitch, and its relaly pretty, but i want to see if i could actually make it in to a bracelet

Oh my goodness! I loved that stuff when I was a teenager. I might still have some unfinished pieces laying around somewhere. Lol. I can make round and square ropes and a friend of mine can make a spirally one that I love and wish I knew how to make. I would rve to keep practicing and refresh my memory so that I can teach my kids when they're big enough to learn. Wow. I used to do those in boring History classes in high school. Hehe.

You can probably get instructions on the internet. But learning how to make gimp can be kind of difficult if you don't know how to do it. Its really confusing for a blind person to do it, until you get the hang of it. I think you needsomeone to teach you how to do it
